NPBRC High School Crew
Our team is open to any area HS student, from any school, ages 13-18. We typically draw students from 5-6 local schools together onto a single team, a construct that creates friendships that last a lifetime and camaraderie unmatched by single-school programs. Examples of this community-based program thrive at clubs across the country. Our rowers compete at regattas across the state and in the southeastern US. No prior rowing experience is necessary. Follow us on Facebook and Twitter.
NPBRC's High School rowing team was formed in the fall of 2008 and raced in their first competitive regattas in the spring of 2009. Our team made their Fall, 2009 "Head Racing" debut at the Head of the Indian Creek regatta in Miami Beach, FL and have since raced at the "Head of the Hooch" regatta in Chattanooga, TN - one of the largest races in the country; attended the Florida State Championships two years in a row; and will race again in and out of state this season.

Registration for our Spring, 2012 season has closed.

Q: How can I get my child started with NPBRC's High School Rowing Team?
A: You have three options, listed below. Links will become active when registration for each event opens.
1) Sign up now for the full 2012-2013 Season (Fall and Spring): Pre-registration will open on March 1st, 2012. Unlike previous years, we are combining our fall and spring program fees into one that covers both seasons. Spots on our team for new rowers are very limited - We recommend reserving yours early. 2012-2013

2) Try our Summer Camp. Not sure if your prospective rower is ready to commit to the full season? We offer a two-week summer camp geared specifically toward new rowers - the perfect way to try to rowing before you become as addicted to it as the rest of our team. We'll post dates and times here as soon as we've finalized them with our coaches. Camp size will be capped at 20 rowers.2012 HS Summer Camp
3) Try one of our 3-session Learn to Row classes. The classes posted on this site's "Learn to Row" (LTR) page are open to High School students ages 13-18. They're even more fun when parents join their kids on the water as participants! View our LTR page for the latest times and dates for upcoming classes.

REGATTA SCHEDULE - SPRING 2012
Parents and Friends: NPBRC has a continued need for help with the following items or volunteer efforts in order to make this season a success!
- The club needs a second coaching launch immediately; we're fundraising for a wakeless model so our coach can keep up with boats in the many no-wake zones we row in. Estimated cost: $6000
- Our next need is a new trailer to get our boats safely to regattas... Estimated cost $4000
- ...Followed by a new boat (8+ or 4+) to make our team as competitive as possible. Estimated cost: $4,000-$8000
- Last but not least, a truck with a hitch to pull our trailer to spring regattas
Thank you to all the parents and volunteers who make our team a success each year!
