About Us

NPBRC is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization formed in January, 2007, by rowers, coaches, veterans, and community leaders who are committed to bringing our love of the sport to the next generation. We do this through classes, programs, and outreach and a world-class youth rowing program that is without equal in our state.

Rowing is a sport that unifies; it has the power to bridge generations, demographics, and other social divides and in doing so, enrich our community across generations.

This is why we exist.

To Change Lives Through Rowing.

We build athletes and programs that win at the highest level of sport and life. Our world-class coaches , the best at their craft, have a proven track record of opening opportunities to kids for college scholarships, national team participation, and national and international level competition.

The North Palm Beach Rowing Club will make every effort to make sure that every child with the desire to participate gets the opportunity, without regard to prior experience, athletic ability or size.  We are committed to instilling Honesty, Loyalty, Integrity, Teamwork, Discipline, Sportsmanship, Respect, Leadership, Trust and Commitment in our young participants.  We believe these values and virtues are important to their growth and  becoming active members of our community and society.

We will instill in our youth the challenge of competition, the joy of victory, the reality of defeat, the importance of commitment and the spirit of community.  These goals will be achieved through organizing our coaches, dedicated volunteers, caring parents, and business associates who wish to partner with our great youth sport program.

Open to the public, these programs provide a fun, safe way to learn how to row under the watchful supervision of our coaches and adult members. LTR classes will have you looking at the Intracoastal in an entirely new way.

Open to middle and high school students, ages 12-18. NPBRC’s teams compete successfully in the US and Canada. Our Youth Program is open to students from any area school. We row together on one unified NPBRC team, and in doing so, build friendships that last a lifetime.

Open to area adults who want to learn the sport, enjoy our waterways, or participate in local and national regattas. We have both competitive and recreational groups. No prior experience necessary – we’ll teach you all you need to know.

World-class youth teams that build young athletes of character and integrity. Thriving adult programs that harness the power of sport to build community and teamwork. A boathouse that provides a safe harbor from which kids can train and develop.

As a not-for-profit organization, your contribution may be tax-deductible.

We believe rowing is for all. Since day one NPBRC partnered with a local charter school for at-risk and disadvantaged youth, to make rowing available to those who can most benefit from this team-based, challenging, but rewarding sport. We believe it’s time for rowing to outgrow its old elitist image and be recognized for what it is: one of the healthiest sports around; one that demands teamwork, cooperation, mental and physical discipline; and one that offers opportunities unlike any other sport out there. We believe these all kids, regardless of their background, should be able to have these opportunities.
